Kalash valley tour is one of the top cultural retreats of Pakistan. UNESCO listed Kalash culture as “Intangible Cultural Heritage” in November 2018. - Arrival in Islamabad at the airport.
- Guides will receive participants at the Islamabad Airport and transfer them to the hotel.
Evening:
- Rest and relax at the hotel after the journey.
Morning:
- Depart from Islamabad towards Besham or Naran, depending on weather and road conditions.
Afternoon:
- If traveling to Besham, drive through Haripur, Abbotabad, Mansehra, and Besham, enjoying the scenic views along the Indus River on the Karakoram Highway.
- If taking the Naran road, explore additional locations on the way.
Evening:
- Arrive in Besham or Naran and rest for the night.
Morning:
- Depart from Islamabad and drive towards the beautiful Hunza Valley in the Karakoram Range.
- Follow the Indus River on the Karakoram Highway until you meet the Hunza River.
Afternoon:
- Continue driving, crossing several bridges and passing through small villages of the Brusho and Shinaki people.
Evening:
- Arrive in Karimabad, the capital of Hunza.
- Spend the night in Karimabad, immersing in the unique natural environment and culture of Hunza.
Morning:
- Start the day with a mesmerizing view of Rakaposhi Peak from the hotel in Karimabad.
- Visit Baltit Fort (700 years old) and Altit Fort (900 years old), experiencing Hunza's rich history.
Afternoon:
- Enjoy a cup of coffee at the royal gardens of Altit Fort.
Evening:
- Take a short excursion/hike to the highest viewpoint (Duikar) in Hunza-Nagar for a stunning sunset view over the white peaks.
Morning:
- Depart for the Khunjerab Pass, the international paved road border between Pakistan and China.
- Pass through Ganish Bridge and see ancient rock carvings.
- Travel along the famous Attabad Lake and pass through the newly constructed Pak-China Friendship Tunnels.
Afternoon:
- Cross through the Wildlife Conservation Area in Khyber before entering Khunjerab National Park in Deh.
- Reach Khunjerab Pass (4733m), marvel at the natural environment, and possibly witness snow in summer on a lucky day.
- Explore Khunjerab National Park, home to wildlife such as ibex, snow leopards, and marmots.
- Guests may have the opportunity to meet Chinese soldiers, border police, or Chinese tourists from the other side.
Evening:
- Enjoy a packed/picnic lunch at the Pak-China Border.
- On the return journey, stop in Sost (immigration/customs point) for shopping (electronics, watches, etc.).
- Return to Passu Village for the night.
Day 6: Hunza to Besham or Naran
Morning:
- Depart from Hunza towards either Besham or Naran, depending on weather and road conditions.
Afternoon:
- If traveling to Besham, drive through Chilas and Dassu, enjoying the scenic views along the Indus River on the Karakoram Highway.
- If taking the Naran road/Babusar Pass (4,173m), explore additional locations along the way.
Evening:
- Arrive in Besham or Naran and rest for the night.
Morning:
- Continue the journey from Besham or Naran towards Islamabad.
- Drive through additional towns, cities, and villages of Pakistan along the way.
Afternoon:
- Continue the scenic drive, passing through local areas and appreciating the diverse landscapes.
Evening:
- Arrive in Islamabad by evening and relax after the journey.
Morning:
- Explore the modern capital city of Islamabad, known for its wide avenues, parks, and architectural landmarks.
- Visit places like Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh, and Pakistan Monument.
Afternoon:
- Travel to Rawalpindi, a historic city built during the British era, known for its intricate bazaars and bustling streets.
